Marukome completed constructing its first US factory almost 10 years ago. Since then, we have been making our miso products in Japan and the United States, using a combined 30,000 tons of non-GMO soybeans annually.
Our factories are pristine and equipped with the most updated technology for the highest quality production. Our quality control team ensures that we provide only the best ingredients and final products. We are inspected annually by a third party audit company and have always received ongoing training and education for the best possible production.

We make our miso by mixing steamed soybeans with koji yeast and salt, then allowing the mixture to ferment for several months. Marukome uses the most modern preparation systems within a state-of-the-art production line. Rice-and soybean-steaming systems as well as aging rooms with the storage capacity of over 500 fermentation tanks are all part of the production line.
