Pork Miso Soup
A Meaty Miso
The addition of pork and vegetables to this delicious miso soup recipe brings protein and new umami flavors to the classic.
- ¼ lb shredded pork
- 1/3 cup chopped carrot
- 1/3 cup chopped gobo
- 1/3 cup chopped daikon radish
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3-1/2 c.water
- 3 Tbsp. Marukome Dashi-iri Miso
Saute pork, carrot, gobo, daikon radish with vegetable oil in a pot for about 3 min.
Add water, boil, and cook all vegetables and meat thoroughly.
Reduce the heat, and add Marukome Dashi-iri Miso (make sure not to boil after adding Miso).
Garnish with green onion and serve hot.
