BBQ MISO BEEF STEAK WITH SUMMER GREENS

BBQ Miso Beef Steak with Summer Greens | Healthy Miso recipes | Marukome USA

Marinating in miso makes the usual steak tender and savory!
You can use this marinade for fish, pork, and poultry, too!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. boneless beef
    (You can use most kinds of beef, but we recommend filet and Rib-eye)
  • Summer Vegetables of your choice

[Miso BBQ Sauce]

  • 4 Tbsp. Miso Paste
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1⁄2 tsp. black-pepper, coarsely ground
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed

Directions

  • 01 MarinatetheBeef: In a resealable food-storage plastic bag, combine all [Miso BBQ Sauce] ingredients. Add the beef steak to the bag and seal it. Gently massage the bag to ensure the steak is fully coated with marinade.
    Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow flavors to infuse.
  • 02 GrilltheSteak: Preheat a grill pan over medium heat. Remove the beef steak from the marinade. (Reserve some marinade in a separate bowl for basting.) Grill the steak for about 10 minutes on each side, or until your desired doneness.
    Baste the steak with the reserved marinade once or twice during grilling.
  • 03 Serve: Slice the cooked steak thinly against the grain. Serve with fresh grilled summer vegetables.
